Solar panel maintenance means working near live electrical systems. Here's what we do to make sure it's done safely and properly.
Dorset Solar Care is a private limited company registered in England & Wales. We built the business around ongoing subscriptions rather than one-off jobs because we think solar maintenance works better as a relationship — regular visits, a consistent point of contact, and a team that gets to know your system over time.
We hold public liability insurance appropriate to working at height and around electrical installations, and our technicians are DBS-checked before they ever visit a customer's home.
Anyone on our team who works near live PV or inverter circuitry holds relevant City & Guilds qualifications for that work — not just general cleaning experience.
Covers safe isolation and testing of photovoltaic systems — the standard for anyone who needs to safely de-energise a PV array before working on or near it.
Solar photovoltaic installation and maintenance units, covering safe working practices around inverters and array wiring during inspection and repair work.
All technicians follow HSE working-at-height guidance and use appropriate ladder safety and roof access equipment for domestic and commercial sites.
Every technician who visits a customer's property has an up-to-date DBS check on file.
Dorset Solar Care is a maintenance, cleaning and inspection business — we are not an MCS-certified installer and we do not design, sell or install new solar PV systems. If you're looking to have panels installed for the first time, we can point you toward MCS-certified installers in the area, but our subscriptions are for systems you already have.
Happy to talk you through it before you commit to anything.
